Thanks Mark! The de Kooning show really is astonishing, though. Photography is not allowed in those shows that collect work from various sources hence my slim offering. I had to be very discrete.
My gosh, I've just not long posted about de Kooning on my own blog. Absolutely LOVE his work. As an artist also, I bow to thee. I wish wish wish I was able to see the Retrospective...but I'm in Australia! Kim www.inspiredlines.blogspot.com
Kim, you would love to retrospective because I expect like me you'd see so many de Koonings you didn't know existed. There were sweet little gouache abstracts and marvelous Japanese-like gestural prints in black ink.
I'm not a blogger! I'm a painter! But I decided to blog rather than constantly change my website. This is where I post my projects and influences on my work with more pictures and infomation than you can get anywhere else. The purpose is to attract conversations, consultations, and commissions for and about decorative painting.
Please see
My Website for more.
I had more fun looking at the Scott Waterman retrospective!

No doubt that term's misused frequently but 'master pieces' really applies in this case. Thanks new follower (isawiheardisaid)!
